Hi friends! I'm here with a really fun layout for More Than Words and Lindy's Stamp Gang challenges. Give a click to check out all the fantastic inspo! The pics are so awesome from one of our beach days in Corona Del Mar. My son and granddaughter spend hours in the water and love riding the waves.
Here's More Than Words mood board -
Lovely! I use music all the time for titles or some verbiage in my layouts.
This layout is loaded with fun mixed media. Stencil and texture paste, lots of misting and splatting. I just feel the water when I look at it. My song was Listen To Your Heart from Roxette and I pulled the line Lost in the tide. I punched circles and wrote the words then inked and popped it all on foam squares.
I cut the shells and Best Summer with my cameo, I added homemade dots and seed beads along with glass glitter.
The background has such a lovely sea feel and the pics are perfect.
Here's Lindy's color board -
I used a brush to add the color for a bit more control over where I wanted it, then some splatting for layered color. Lindy's gives such a vibrant pretty effect. I love them!
Lindy's Used
Bachelor button blue
Tweedle dee denim
Cockle bells coral
Frozen jack frost
Take a minute to stop by Lindy's. The colors are endless and the quality is exceptional.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Feeling Alright!
Hiya friends! June has flown by and I'm loving July so far :) It is scorching here in So Cali! 108 today MAN!!!
Today I have a layout of my son Santino who did a day camp for one week in June on a horse ranch. This boy had a blast! I'm entering it in More Than Words Challenge and Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge. Please go give them both a visit! Here are the moodboards.
And here is my layout -
I used Kaisercraft paper that I've had for a while along with texture paste and stencil for some background work. I think the brown string gives a nice western feel. I used some gorgeous Lindy's mists to add some color to the stenciling and on the arrows. I also colored the title with the mists which was cut with my cameo.
The colors I used for misting and background work -
bachelor button blue
mission bells brown
bells of Ireland green

All About The Moms!
Hi friends! I'm here with my layout for More Than Words May challenge! I know I know it's the very very very last day of the month lol! I was busy, see my mom visited from NY for two weeks and I needed to finish up a swap :)
Here's the beautiful inspo for this month -
Always spectacular! If you have't checked them out pleas click on their blog name or on my sidebar. Here is my layout -
I used papers I've been hoarding for WAY too long!!! What is it with us papercrafters and paper hoarding ;) This was My Mind's Eye Lost and Found. Delicious!
I used flowers from Petaloo as well as I Am Roses, some Lindys for the flowers and background splats, pretty Prima glassbeads in red and some pink thread. The chippie is from 2 Crafty. Let me just say they have some darn awesome chippies! I inked, misted, then embossed it. I really don't use red all that often paper wise, but this one made me happy.
I popped the pic of mom and I and the matting for some dimension, and I cut some banners, I stinking love banners! My texture paste background was done with a flower stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. I used my silhouette cameo to write the title and cut the banner for it. The pic was from a visit three years ago and we took mom to the beach. We love the beach if you haven't figured that out yet lol!
Thanks for coming by, have a grest rest of the week!

Beach Beauties
Hello scrappy pals! This is a layout I did using a sketch which I really don't do too often, but was lots of fun! I'm putting it in Dusty Attic and Lindy's challenges. Please give a visit to see all the gorgeous chippies they carry, amazing!
What a great mood board! Now while I didn't use this sketch I did use one of Emma's older sketches -
The chippies I used felt like feathery seaweed moving in the water to me -
We go to the beach almost once a week during the summer. The only stinky thing is it's 1 1/2 hours away because we live so far inland :( We spend several hours there though so we make the most of our day and I bring all my kids and granddaughters whenever possible!
Next up Lindy's color challenge :D
Perfect for a beachy feel. I used the creme brulee mist to mimic a sand like feel, and splats of the teal for splashing water. I combined silver shimmerz too to add depth to the background. The chippies got embossed with some gorgeous color which I layered over each other. I love Lindy's embossing powders! Give a click to go right to their pages.
Colors used
creme brulee cream
shabby turbine teal
silver shimmerz
Embossing powder
reindeer moss green
hyacinth blue jade
queen of sheba silver

Sweet
Happy Sunday friends! Hope you're having a restful and nice day. I know some of you are still experiencing the disgusting final death throws of old man winter :( I t really stinks to have a very late spring crazy winter snow storm come crashing through. I want to take a minute to brag on my daughter Sophia! She is an excellent dedicated student with a great determination and her fantastic grades demonstrate that. So much so that she is getting contacted by Ivy League colleges! She wants to be a vet and still has one more year of high school left, but we are very proud of her.
Onto my layout. This is for a few challenges on scrapbook.com as well as Lindy's April color challenge. Got it in on the last day! You can check out the color inspo and rules by clicking HERE for all the info, or on my sidebar :)
Aren't the colors like yummy candy! I manged to use all of the shades too :)
My papers are from Bluefern Studios, and they're a combo that I had in my stash. I did stenciling and misting along with splats of Lindy's. Some background stamping and I popped my pic and the matting on foam for dimension and added my flowers. The title was cut with my cameo and is from the song Samson by Regina Spector. My hubby is my sweetest downfall :) and those shakes from Holstein's in Vegas are too! LOL! The little tag has my journaling which says - Enjoying a fun weekend in Vegas. We don't get away often, so this was fun! Holstein's was a great adventure. 11/13
Lindy Sprays
Raspberry lemonade
Blue Hawaiian blue
TiffanyLou blue
Jack frost
Curiouser Chartruese
Thanks for looking!

My Message
Hiya scrappy sistuhs :D I'm here with another layout for the amazing More Than Words challenge blog. Have you played along yet? No? Well click their name and go see!
The prompt this month is black and white and ONE color of your choice and the word is dream. Check it out it's gorgeous
Love it! There's just something about black and white :)
Here's my layout -
I laid my white paper an angle over the stripe and did some misting with lindy's. I then did some background stamping and stencil with texture paste. The strips of paper have been in my stash for so long I finally put them to good use. See, challenges come in handy! My little quote uses the prompt word Dream. The title is from a Bob Marley song, Three Little Birds which was chosen for me in the music inspiration challenge on scrapbook.com. Songs give tons of great title options :) I cut it on my cameo using four layers to give it depth. A word about my layout orientation. I pulled a ton of inspo from Di Garling who is one of More Than Word's founder's. She is truly an amazing talent and her work just leaves me speechless.
Thanks for visiting!
