All About The Moms!

Hi friends! I'm here with my layout for More Than Words May challenge! I know I know it's the very very very last day of the month lol! I was busy, see my mom visited from NY for two weeks and I needed to finish up a swap :)

Here's the beautiful inspo for this month -

Always spectacular! If you have't checked them out pleas click on their blog name or on my sidebar. Here is my layout -

I used papers I've been hoarding for WAY too long!!! What is it with us papercrafters and paper hoarding ;) This was My Mind's Eye Lost and Found. Delicious!

I used flowers from Petaloo as well as I Am Roses, some Lindys for the flowers and background splats, pretty Prima glassbeads in red and some pink thread. The chippie is from 2 Crafty. Let me just say they have some darn awesome chippies! I inked, misted, then embossed it. I really don't use red all that often paper wise, but this one made me happy.

I popped the pic of mom and I and the matting for some dimension, and I cut some banners, I stinking love banners! My texture paste background was done with a flower stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. I used my silhouette cameo to write the title and cut the banner for it. The pic was from a visit three years ago and we took mom to the beach. We love the beach if you haven't figured that out yet lol!

Thanks for coming by, have a grest rest of the week!

Lady

Hey friends! Been a few. Schools out, my daughter MaryAnn graduated, and now I have the summer to chill before it all starts again.

I have a layout for you that I'll be entering in a couple of challenges. The staple is the song challenge over on scrapbook.com. I love it we have a great time with it. The other two is More Than Words and Lindy's Stamp Gang color challenge. Click on their names to find out more.

Here is the inspo for More Than Words

We had to do some mixed media which I often do on my pages. The word is Imagine. When you see my layout, you'll find it hard to imagine that they aren't who they seem to be ;)

These are the colors for Lindy's. Such a beautiful summer pallet. I'll link the colors to their site at the end.

My song for the challenge was Lady by Kenny Rogers. In honor of Father's Day we chose songs by men. I didn't really like my song so my hubby gave me a great idea for the layout!

Let's check it out -

Yup folks, these are men. Can you IMAGINE that!!! They're from my four daughter's most fave show RuPaul's Drag Race. That's Violet, Pearl and Miss Fame. My daughters were quick to inform me that the pic of Pearl in the middle is an old one and she has gotten more glamorous.

I clear gesso'd my paper, don't ask me the line, it's a company that I don't think even exists anymore. I then misted and splatted combined with stamping for the background. My hexagon frame was cut with my Cricut and the Accent Essential cart, I welded the shapes together. My title was the Ashlyn cart. Some flowers from Petaloo, Zva and I Am Roses and there you go!

Here are the Lindy colors used -

Yellow Rose Of Texas
Raspberry Lemonade
Fuzzy Navel Peach
Tiffanylou Blue
Shabby Turbine Teal

Thanks for looking! Stop by these challenges to join the fun :)

Loved Friend

Hi guys! Hump day, almost done with the week! Woot, one more down not too many left till school's out for summer :)

Today I'm sharing a layout I did of our sweet Bruno who crossed the rainbow bridge on 4/25 and I joined the NSD challenge on scrapbook.com for our pets. Did anyone get their craft on for NSD? I'm happy with how it came. I will also enter it in Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge #140 Monochromatic with Ribbon or Trim. Give a click to check it out, or click my sidebar :)

I used papers from Fabscraps which I've had for a while now. They're from a Swirlydoo kit. Petaloo flowers also from the kit. A doily from my stash, twine and ribbon, stash fussy cut butterflies and stickles dotted here and there. I also splatted some Lindy's mists, a pretty chippie frame from Creative Embellishments that I gesso'd, inked and stickled. The title is cut from my silhouette cameo. Let me just say, my cricut has served me well and enormously through the years and I still use it, but my version, the expression, can not cut with the fine detail that this baby does! Can't speak to cricut's newest model, but boy I love my cameo!

This was a decent stash raid here, not even with any prompting! I hope you like it, have a great week and thanks for stopping by,

Beautiful, A Swirlydoo Kit Club Challenge

Hey friends!  Monday Monday :)  They just keep rolling along.  Today I have my layout for the Butterfly Challenge hosted by Angelica on Swirlydoo's.  It features August's kit, Wistful Blues.  Wow, this kit is a stunner!  Check out Swirlydoos and Angelica's blog, Angelica Scrap Happenings.

I went with a pic of Desirae and Omar from their wedding.  Can you believe it'll be three years this November already?!  Wow, what a great day it was, and yup I still have a gazzilion pics :D  The papers in this kit are stunning, Riddersholm, a Danish co which I've never seen in person, Kaisercraft, and Bo Bunny, plus tons of other goodies to embellish with.  Take a look -

No joke friends, Krissy packs this with a lot of stuff!

On to my layout -

I used some flowers from my stash, both Petaloo and I Am Roses, lots of misiting of them, then whitewashing to tone them down some. I made my little glitter bubbles with my glue gun again and some texture paste action going on. The clock was from my embossing folder and I just cut it out and inked it, also added a key. On the edge of the paper I ran some Tim Holtz lacy trim I've had in my stash. I layered cheesecloth and mats under the pic, along with some note card printables from Pinterest. Of course distressing the edges and inking them. The Beautiful chippie is from Blue Fern and was also in the kit. The butterflies are printables that I have saved on my puter.  I'm really happy with this one, hope you like it too!
