It Never Rains?

Happy Monday friends! My kids are back at school after a wonderful two weeks off, now I start the countdown to summer vaca. I know what's the rush? I just love having no set schedule. And I do like my kids home with me :)

Any way, I'm here with a challenge that I did for both a music challenge and More Than Words. Are you familiar with them? Click on their title to check it out. They do a main and a mini challenge. The talent is truly off the chain! This month the prompts were Bliss/gesso. Have a look at my layout.

Can you see the raindrops on the Bird of Paradise above? They're such gorgeous flowers. After a rainfall everything is so clean and clear, I found my walk inspiring and truly blissful. My layout started out with a coating of clear gesso, which I love when you're adding mists to it.Then some texture paste/stenciling and lots of misting fun. The flowers I've had for a few years and they got some Lindy's spritzed on em and my butterfly was stamped painted with Colour Arte then Utee'd. I love the glass look it gives. I think the whole layout exudes a rainy feel.

The music challenge is over at scrapbook.com, the person who signs up after you posts the song you need to use for inspo. Mine was It Never Rains In Southern California, and that song is spot on about the weather here. It never does, but when it finally happens it's a darn national disaster! I was on my walk with a light drizzle and I took these pics of these pretty flowers. I also did a video -

Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2016

Hello hello hello!!!! Yes ladies and gents it's that time again! The time I wait all year for, well next to Christmas and summer break :D This is the team that I dream about, the papercrafting company that I love so very much. I covet these papers like Gollum with his precious. Yes I still have Oz and Alice as well as Playtime and the original Botanica Bella and Steampunk Debutante.Grab a cuppa and sit with me for a bit as I share the projects I've made in hopes that I can make it :)

First off, let me say that when it comes to Graphic 45 you are only limited by your own imagination. The papers flow from one line to the other so that you can mix and match to your hearts desire. I have done this with a couple to show just how versatile it is.

First up I have an adorable Valentine Banner made with two lines, By The Sea, ABC Primer and A Place In Time. I have been loving my Utee as of late and used it to dip the paper scrabble letters and Be Mine in. Bitty flowers and heart cut outs as well as some butterflies and stickles for sparkle. I used tulle to bind it together.

Next up is a sweet layout of my daughter and granddaughter. Sophia was not quite two and my grandie Aelyn was days old. I used Little Darlings, Once Upon A Springtime and Sweet Sentiments. Some texture paste and stenciling a lovely Dusty Attic chippie and handmade flowers with Heartfelt Creations stamps and die.

Here is a link to my Snapguide showing a step by step tutorial of how I made this layout -

Here is an adorable inverted canvas I made using Secret Garden and a wee bit of Sweet Sentiment for fussy cut flowers. I love this idea for canvases, it opens a whole array of creativity! I texture paste and stenciled brickwork to mimic the garden wall and fussy cut galore here for layering in such awesome dimension. The butterflies I stamped then painted and once again dipped for a luscious glass effect.

And because I can't just do three here are two more super faves of mine -

Thanks for visiting, wish me luck!
