Happy Sunday friends! Hope you're having a restful and nice day. I know some of you are still experiencing the disgusting final death throws of old man winter :( I t really stinks to have a very late spring crazy winter snow storm come crashing through. I want to take a minute to brag on my daughter Sophia! She is an excellent dedicated student with a great determination and her fantastic grades demonstrate that. So much so that she is getting contacted by Ivy League colleges! She wants to be a vet and still has one more year of high school left, but we are very proud of her.

Onto my layout. This is for a few challenges on as well as Lindy's April color challenge. Got it in on the last day! You can check out the color inspo and rules by clicking HERE for all the info, or on my sidebar :)

Aren't the colors like yummy candy! I manged to use all of the shades too :)

My papers are from Bluefern Studios, and they're a combo that I had in my stash. I did stenciling and misting along with splats of Lindy's.  Some background stamping and I popped my pic and the matting on foam for dimension and added my flowers. The title was cut with my cameo and is from the song Samson by Regina Spector. My hubby is my sweetest downfall :) and those shakes from Holstein's in Vegas are too! LOL! The little tag has my journaling which says - Enjoying a fun weekend in Vegas. We don't get away often, so this was fun! Holstein's was a great adventure. 11/13

My Message

Hiya scrappy sistuhs :D I'm here with another layout for the amazing More Than Words challenge blog. Have you played along yet? No? Well click their name and go see!

The prompt this month is black and white and ONE color of your choice and the word is dream. Check it out it's gorgeous
Love it! There's just something about black and white :)

Here's my layout -

I laid my white paper an angle over the stripe and did some misting with lindy's. I then did some background stamping and stencil with texture paste. The strips of paper have been in my stash for so long I finally put them to good use. See, challenges come in handy! My little quote uses the prompt word Dream. The title is from a Bob Marley song, Three Little Birds which was chosen for me in the music inspiration challenge on Songs give tons of great title options :) I cut it on my cameo using four layers to give it depth.  A word about my layout orientation. I pulled a ton of inspo from Di Garling who is one of  More Than Word's founder's. She is truly an amazing talent and her work just leaves me speechless.

Have You Seen...

The newest swap craze Loaded Envelopes? They're so beautiful! I've done two now and love them. They are very dimensional so for me that works because pocketletters can't be quite as packed nor elaborate. You can make them as simple or fancy as you like. Here are pics of the two I've made -

There are rules to follow in the swaps that the host lays out, such as tags, wands, and enbellies for parameters to follow. The wands, oh my, how I love making the wands! If you search youtube you'll find some tutorials on them, and here's my video showing all the goodes I did -

Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed Easter if you celebrate,
