What I've Been Up To

I have been working on albums that I want to sell at the booth I want to open at Market Night.  So far I have the three banners and 4 minis.  Right now I'm working on two Twilight minis and then I'll do four class of 2012's for the two local high schools in my town.  I also did an awesome tag swap hosted by Laura Denison of Following The Paper Trail.  I've given her some blog love, but if you haven't checked out her blog yet, just click on her title.  She is an awesome artist, and on g45's design team.

This is for a toddler boy(obviously :p) I made pockets for plenty of pics and journaling

This is for a girl with the same principle of lots of pic space.  I made the roses myself with my cricut die, there are tutorials out there and it is so easy -

Everything I used to make these was in my stash but for the little boxes that I got at Mikes for 99 cents.

Next up is the tag I made for the Shabby Chic tag swap.

This was made with Prima's Fairy Belle line.  Oh my this is a gorgeous bunch of papers.  I bought an 8.5x11 stack at my lss and just love it!  I also bought a couple of 12x12 sheets for a lo of John and Des that I want to do.  Any way the tags -

Here are 2 vacation envelope minis I made and used my bind it all to bind them :)  Lots of pocket space.  Love that for pics.  I used my glossy accents on the titles to give it some dimension and on some of the fish stickers.

Hope  you like them!  On a side note, what do you all think of bloggers upgrade.  I hate change, so I don't like it too much :p

Mothers Day Contest

I wasn't going to post this but my hubby asked if I had put it on my blog and I said no.  I kinda felt like it was self promotion, but he thought I should so I will.

My oldest daughter Victoria entered me in a Mothers Day contest here in town.  You have to go to facebook and like their page and then vote each day for the moms that are on there (you can unlike them once it's done).  She wrote such a wonderful letter about me and I really am flattered.  Here's the letter -

I can't think of anyone better for this than Paula Calvanico. She is the dedicated mother of 6 and grandmother of 2. She does so much for all of us from being a chauffeur, chef, maid, personal assistant, coach, cheerleader, teacher, counselor, sheriff, and a probation officer all rolled into a ball most importantly covered with friendship. When we moved from New York to California is 1988 we started from scratch. Since then we've all gone through trials and tribulations but one thing for sure was that our mother was always there for us. She has done everything from dropping off and picking up my daughters at school (along with all the rest of us when we couldn't or wouldn't drive) babysitting, fostering a deep, genuine love and appreciation for reading in all her children, caring for the stray kittens that had nested in our garage and seeing them off to loving homes, making beautiful scrapbooks as gifts for so many, to recently helping the young man who had wrecked his scooter down the block all while being a devoted wife. She may not be a "humanitarian" or the member of some special community serving group or society, but in every essence of the word she is without a doubt, a Mother! My father does his best to spoil her, but it might be nice to take that so called "burden" off his shoulders for once. She deserves so much more but it would be lovely to start with this fantastic prize! This pic of Desirae and John from her wedding is just so beautiful.  I really need to scrap this pic!

Just a priceless photo and not only did Des look beautiful, but look how handsome John is!  What a great day it was, and everyone had so much fun.
