Love The Game!

Hi everyone, happy Sunday to ya :)  Today I'm sharing a baseball layout I did for a friend of the family.Their son has been playing for several years now and they are a real baseball family.  They've never seen my work in person, just what I share through Facebook since they live on the east coast. His mom once said she doesn't get all these great pics printed out and framed because she doesn't want the others to get mad.  Some of the shots that another team parent has taken were just too good to let sit on the puter so I used Graphic 45's Good Ol' Sport and made a page for them.  It was a total surprise and almost turned into a disaster!  I left out one number in the addie, luckily the house it was going to was just down the block, but the post person was good enough to deliver it to them anyway :) PHEW!  I was a wreck!  I had told her something was coming but not what.  She loved it!  I was so happy.  I took some pics of the process and of course of the layout, enjoy -

As always I roughly place my pics and embellies before gluing down.  I always print a group of pics on plain paper so I can decide if the size I've chosen is good for what I'm looking to create.  I don't know if others do that, but it works real well for me and have been doing if for years now.

This layout is a fave for me!  I usually do the frou-frou and this was fun.  Good Ol' Sport is just a banging line for sure! If you have a player out there, this is one set of papers you should have :)

Product List

Graphic 45 Good Ol' Sport - Cheer On, Champion, Good Ol' Sport, Big Score, Number 1 Fan, Touch down
Distress Ink - Black Soot, Brushed Corduroy
Thickers Chipboard Letters - Black
Cricut - Cut Triangles
Yellow Thread

As you can see, there weren't a ton of products in this, most came all from the paper. I distressed away at my paper edges and pics for a nice effect.  I'm so glad they liked it, I enjoyed making it. Thanks for stopping by.

  1. What an awesome gift to showcase those amazing shots! Love it, Good Ol' Sport is such a fun collection!
That's a cool idea, how you print "proofs" of your pictures to test on your layouts. I just get all the good shots, or the shots I think I'll use, printed and then pick out what I'll actually use while I'm scrapping. Creates a lot of leftover pictures!

    1. I think it's part of my anal ways Court. I always print up pics on the economy setting using the least amount of ink and then place it on the layout for my own sanity :) I have actually not done it a couple of times and the pic was too big and it was just wasted.

  2. This is fabulous... I love the colours and the papers and photos are perfect together. I have never seen the photo proof idea before. I just cut bits of paper the size of the pics that I want to use BUT I like the idea of seeing what the photo will look like. I love Graphic 45 papers and these are just stunning. Pity we don't play baseball here :D

    1. I am so visual I have no sense of seeing it in my head, so this works perfectly for me :)

Baseball is a biggie here, The Boys of Summer :)
