Hi my friends! How's your weekend going? Finally cooled off after some brutal heat here, thank goodness. Today I bring you a project I made for a Swirly Challenge. It's for those of us that are cock obsessed! Get your head outta the gutter folks! It's the roosters my friends, and I love them. I have them scattered throughout my kitchen in all sizes and colors, some are dishes, some are on pitchers. I love them :)
I made a gift bag using the Graphic 45 French Country line. So very pretty! I also made a video! My tripod had gone missing and then voila, returned, I sure hope it had fun wherever it was, so I made a video of the process. Not a tute, I am not there yet, just of me putting it together. Enjoy-
I still feel like a dope when making the video talking to myself, I need more practice!

Beautiful, A Swirlydoo Kit Club Challenge
Hey friends! Monday Monday :) They just keep rolling along. Today I have my layout for the Butterfly Challenge hosted by Angelica on Swirlydoo's. It features August's kit, Wistful Blues. Wow, this kit is a stunner! Check out Swirlydoos and Angelica's blog, Angelica Scrap Happenings.
I went with a pic of Desirae and Omar from their wedding. Can you believe it'll be three years this November already?! Wow, what a great day it was, and yup I still have a gazzilion pics :D The papers in this kit are stunning, Riddersholm, a Danish co which I've never seen in person, Kaisercraft, and Bo Bunny, plus tons of other goodies to embellish with. Take a look -
No joke friends, Krissy packs this with a lot of stuff!
On to my layout -
I used some flowers from my stash, both Petaloo and I Am Roses, lots of misiting of them, then whitewashing to tone them down some. I made my little glitter bubbles with my glue gun again and some texture paste action going on. The clock was from my embossing folder and I just cut it out and inked it, also added a key. On the edge of the paper I ran some Tim Holtz lacy trim I've had in my stash. I layered cheesecloth and mats under the pic, along with some note card printables from Pinterest. Of course distressing the edges and inking them. The Beautiful chippie is from Blue Fern and was also in the kit. The butterflies are printables that I have saved on my puter. I'm really happy with this one, hope you like it too!

Love The Game!
Hi everyone, happy Sunday to ya :) Today I'm sharing a baseball layout I did for a friend of the family.Their son has been playing for several years now and they are a real baseball family. They've never seen my work in person, just what I share through Facebook since they live on the east coast. His mom once said she doesn't get all these great pics printed out and framed because she doesn't want the others to get mad. Some of the shots that another team parent has taken were just too good to let sit on the puter so I used Graphic 45's Good Ol' Sport and made a page for them. It was a total surprise and almost turned into a disaster! I left out one number in the addie, luckily the house it was going to was just down the block, but the post person was good enough to deliver it to them anyway :) PHEW! I was a wreck! I had told her something was coming but not what. She loved it! I was so happy. I took some pics of the process and of course of the layout, enjoy -
As always I roughly place my pics and embellies before gluing down. I always print a group of pics on plain paper so I can decide if the size I've chosen is good for what I'm looking to create. I don't know if others do that, but it works real well for me and have been doing if for years now.
This layout is a fave for me! I usually do the frou-frou and this was fun. Good Ol' Sport is just a banging line for sure! If you have a player out there, this is one set of papers you should have :)
Product List
Graphic 45 Good Ol' Sport - Cheer On, Champion, Good Ol' Sport, Big Score, Number 1 Fan, Touch down
Distress Ink - Black Soot, Brushed Corduroy
Thickers Chipboard Letters - Black
Cricut - Cut Triangles
Yellow Thread
As you can see, there weren't a ton of products in this, most came all from the paper. I distressed away at my paper edges and pics for a nice effect. I'm so glad they liked it, I enjoyed making it. Thanks for stopping by.

Creative Blog Hop
Part of this wonderful hop is answering some question about your creative process. Scrapping is not the only venue either. You can be a painter, a writer, a photographer. Whatever medium you choose to create with is fine for this endeavor. Without further adieu, the questions -
1. What am I working on? Right now I am working on a layout of a family friend's son. He plays baseball and she has gotten some really great shots. It's a complete surprise, they live on the east coast and have never seen my work but for pics on Facebook, so I can't wait to send it!
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre? This is tough because so many of us out in the scrappy world have such similar styles. From shabby chic to grungy, clean with lots of white space to misted and paint-splattered to oblivion, it can be viewed as very similar. I tend to lean towards the romantic formal style and I think my flair for the bling and flourishes coupled with my love of flowers and butterflies have tagged my style as begining to be recognized as "mine".
3. Why do I create what I do? Oh my, I just LOVE getting lost at my desk making a layout or a tag. If I'm altering an object I just love watching it take on it's new persona as I add another layer to it. It gives me such great pleasure to create something and give it as a gift.
4. How does your creating process work? Sometimes I have a distinct project in mind and know exactly what I want to make. Other times I will draw it out on paper first so I have some direction. On occasion but not too often I fly by the seat of my pants.
Part of this lovely hop is nominating three friends to visit as well. I only have two, and that's ok. They'll be anwering these questions too, but you can visit their blogs now.
My first friend is Lisa Adair. Lisa has been my friend for several years now. We met in the now defunct Memory Makers Magazine forum. Do you longtime scrappy gals remember Memory Makers? It was my fave mag for sure! Here's a pic -
We had some fun times there, laughing, gossiping, and swapping some wonderful things! Lisa's style has evolved quite a bit in the years since then. Her style is clean and bright with some gorgeous pops of color. Here are a couple of my faves -
Clean and beautiful just like I said :) Lisa isn't just a scrapper though, she has blossomed into this flipping fantastic photographer!!!!! No joke this girl can snap :D Her favorite subject right now is her precious granddaughter whom she calls Cupcake. I love Lisa, she is witty, smart, with a wild streak in there and a great gal I'm proud to call my friend :) Give her blog a visit, Life in Flip Flops and check out her photography too, Lisa Adair Photgraphy.
My next friend is Val Thorpe. Val is a new friend of mine. We've known each other for about a year now and met through Once Upon A Sketch challenge blog. Val is a wonderful lady! Funny with a great sense of humor that has a bit of naughty to it ;) Her scrap style is classic. She combines misting and texture paste along with stamping and layers of paper to create beautiful pieces. A couple of faves-
