Deck The Halls

Hi everyone :)  Wednesday is just about done and another school week is almost down.  I'm stoked for Saturday my LSS is having their annual Christmas Wrap It Up, different projects to make, new products to see and I can't wait! I've also been trying to go through some of my stash creating projects.  I have so many DCWV stacks and I really need to use them.  They are all way to nice to just stay piled in the closet!

This is a layout I did using DCWV Heirloom Christmas stack.  This one is really so pretty.  Bought it last year from Joann's and first used it in this layout of my collection of Christmas decor.  This pic is of just a very small vignette on my buffet.  I used texture paste tinted with my Lumin Arte Silks  in apricot nectar and sunflower along with my Prima Finnabair 6x6 doily mask for the pretty doily behind the circles.  I used smaller circles cut from the paper and doilies which I sprayed with Lindy's mist in California Poppy Gold on top of the larger circle. I cut poinsettias with my cricut and sprayed them gold too.  Little red beads make the center.  I also embossed flourishes on the bottom left with Lindys embossing powder in oakleaf olive from the Industrial Chic collection.  On the bottom right next to the small paper circles, I embossed a couple of circles with candy cane red. Of course the distressing of my papers for accenting and cut the title with my cricut.  Hope you like it :)

  1. Nice! I love the yellow, never would have thought to use it on a Christmas layout!
Great dimension, too. And those leaves? They remind me of Christmas cactus!
One of these days, I'm going to try texture paste!

    1. Thanks Court :) I know, that yellow come outta left field but works somehow :) You really should try the paste. There are a lot of homemade recipes online, or just buy a small container :) It adds such grrat texture to the page.

  2. Oh my Paula! That is so pretty! I'm like Court and never would have thought to use yellow on a Christmas layout. But it works, and it makes the page just pop! I really like all the circles too.
I like that paper from your stack and hope you learned something new at your LSS and found something you just had to have!
