Lindy's Stamp Gang September Color Challenge

Hey everyone! Got another lay out here for Lindy's Stamp Gang September Color Challenge. Have you paid a visit to Lindy's yet? No? Well heck, get there. Just click on their name to check out the store and on the challenge to see their blog!

The colors this month were olive, purple, violet, and pink.  You have to use at least two.  I love what I did this month.  It is absolutely me!!  The pic is just awesome of my granddaughter Aelyn, and it just begged to be scrapped.  My daughter Victoria took it when we went cherry picking with her phone, and man it was just a great shot.  I photo-shopped it to make her color and the rest black and white, giving it kind of a dreamy effect, which fits the lay out theme perfectly.  Check it out -

I made the flowers, leaves and vine with my cricut, the title was chipboard which I cut with my cricut and used distress dauber in white picket fence, then crackle in white picket fence.  I sprayed it with My Mojito Green from Lindy's.  The rock wall was a Prima stencil with homemade texture paste, sprayed with mojito again and swiped with a bit of Luminarte Silks Acrylic Glaze in Sunflower.  I also went around the stones with my brown pencil for some definition.  The flowers were sprayed with Cosmopolitan Pink and A Bit o'Bubbly.   In the center of the petals is distress stickles in orange marmalade.  The stamped sentiment is from Tim Holtz's Stampers Anonymous line. The paper is also sprayed with the cosmo pink and Va Va Va Voom Violet which has no link.  The top paper was white, the bottom paper had the colors for the challenge and is from Bo Bunny Jazmyne line.  A pretty little butterfly fussy cut from a printable in the upper corner there and it's done :)  Hope you like it!

Thanks for visiting,

    1. Hi Amy, thank you :) I am pretty stubborn and I always look to make before caving and buying. Believe me when I tell you I have aggravated myself a boat load because I insist on cutting my own chipboard!

  5. ok, so until this moment and your rock wall, I've had no desire to play with any of those pastes.. thinking they have no place in my scrapbooks... but now, and that truly amazing rock wall! I love your flowers, and the way you misted around where you stamped, but gosh darn that rock wall!! I'd like to see a video please! This layout is award worthy Paula! You need to submit this somewhere, today! Love the picture, it's perfect for this layout. Don't forget my video. :)

  9. Paula this is gorgeous. I love that slate stencil it is much prettier than the brick. Beautiful photo too. You don't look old enough to have such a big grandie. The flowers came out great. I have a silhouette machine and I really need to use it properly. Love this layout. You have such a gorgeous style :D

    1. Lol, well Val she's going to be 12 next month! Her sister will be 10 next week and they are both older than my little guy who turns 10 in February. We were very young parents, so now we get to be young grandparents too ;)

I love this slate stencil as well :) Glad you like the layout. I am very stubborn with my cricut, I will try to cut all sorts of chippies myself before I give in and buy if it's just too much for the cricut to handle. Sadly some of the intricate details is a no go and the cricut tears the crumbs out of it.
