I told ya I'd be back with another layout for the Swirlydoos Excellent Book challenge! I couldn't resist doing a layout on this fun campy vampire lovefest, Halfway To The Grave, book one in the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. Give a click on to find out about the challenge, it's a lot of fun!
I used the Bejeweled kit for this, a gorgeous kit for sure. Filled with some beautiful papers from Blue Fern Studio's Sanctuary line, I did misting and random stamping as well as a border punch from We Are Memory Keepers. The chippie is Blue Fern too and also in the kit. Lots of layers here.
Such a fun challenge! Hope you enjoyed.

Adore
Hi friends, I'm here with a layout I did for a challenge over at Scrapbook.com. It's a favorite challenge, which means you go through your faves and pick one to lift and give your own spin. This was a lot of fun since I have several faves! I chose a beauty by an amazingly talented scrapper named Mandy. Please check out her blog - For Scrapping Out Loud, and her scrapbook gallery *HERE*. Such beautiful work for sure. I am also going to add this to Lindy's Stamp Gang's color challenge too.
I used Pink Paislee's 365 degree line, which I have to be honest with you, am clueless to where I got it from :( This brain just doesn't hold info much anymore. It's very pretty and thought it perfect for my pic of my hubby with my daughter MaryAnn on her Confirmation. I also did a video of my process as well. I hope you like it, here is the fave and my take -
I kept the orientation the same and tweaked the layers a bit with a cut out mat made with my cricut and the paper lace cart, some torn paper mats and little banners. The chippie is from Dusty Attic the Scrabble letters is a printout from Lisa Gregory, another uber talent! I cut them then dipped them in my utee for the gloss. I heat embossed the chippie with Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder and also colored my flowers and texture paste in the background. The little beads are homemade by me with my daughter's little craft set.
Here is Lindy's color challenge palette for August, you can access it on my side bar -
Lindy colors, first 4 challenge shades -
Curiouser Chartreuse
Ramblin Rose Pink
Crimson Coral Embossing Powder
Candy Cane Red Embossing Powder
Reindeer Moss Green Embossing Powder
Oakleaf Olive Embossing Powder

Thank you for visiting!

Outlander Layout and A Wedding Card
Welcome friends! Today I have a layout and a card to share with you. Over at Swirlydoos kit club there's a great challenge going on. It's excellent books! Well, I couldn't pass that up, I have a book blog for heavens sake! Have you visited Swirlydoos yet? Go check them out, what a great kit club it is, just click *HERE* for all the info, and click *HERE* for the challenge.
It's a good bet I'll be doing more than one layout for this challenge since I have a few really fave books :) but for now my layout is about Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Have you read it? Did you know that Starz has made it a series? Oh yes my friends and it is really good too! Ok, down to business, here's my layout -
I used the Spring Chic kit. What a gorgeous kit, stuffed with lucious goodies, like that pretty chippie from Creative Embellishments that I embossed in gold. The sweet little wood comb and all the flowers but for the maroon ones. I did some random punching of the edge and layered some banner cut mats under the pics of Jamie and Claire. The die cut swirls are Spellbinders Romantic vine. Lots of fun for sure.
I also made a wedding card for my cousin. I'm so lazy and should have had this done a couple of months ago. I really like how it came -
This background die from Spellbinders is just stunning. I layered it on top of glitter paper then a silver foil paper, two more times, and my quote I typed and printed up then cut with my nestability dies and edged with perfect pearls. The little butterflies were cut with the cricut.
Thanks for visiting friends! Get crafty and create,
