Cards Anyone? RRR Challenge #154

Back again friends with some more projects from the past few months! Here are some cards I made for Thanksgiving, Sympathy, and a tag for my Secret Santa pal.

Check out the gorgeous ribbon on my cards all from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I joined the club and boy am I over the moon! What a fantastic selection of ribbon Bonnie gives :)

This tag was made for a Secret Santa swap. I love the way it came and I'm going to put it into Really Reasonable Ribbon's latest challenge #154 Winter Holiday

I am in love with the pen feature on my Cameo! Hence all the sayings on my tag and cards. It's so cool and I love all the phrases you can put on your projects. Oh and for the record every project here was made with papers and embellies from my stash.

Outlander Layout and A Wedding Card

Welcome friends! Today I have a layout and a card to share with you. Over at Swirlydoos kit club there's a great challenge going on. It's excellent books! Well, I couldn't pass that up, I have a book blog for heavens sake! Have you visited Swirlydoos yet? Go check them out, what a great kit club it is, just click *HERE* for all the info, and click *HERE* for the challenge.

It's a good bet I'll be doing more than one layout for this challenge since I have a few really fave books :) but for now my layout is about Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Have you read it? Did you know that Starz has made it a series? Oh yes my friends and it is really good too! Ok, down to business, here's my layout -

I used the Spring Chic kit. What a gorgeous kit, stuffed with lucious goodies, like that pretty chippie from Creative Embellishments that I embossed in gold. The sweet little wood comb and all the flowers but for the maroon ones. I did some random punching of the edge and layered some banner cut mats under the pics of Jamie and Claire. The die cut swirls are Spellbinders Romantic vine. Lots of fun for sure.

I also made a wedding card for my cousin. I'm so lazy and should have had this done a couple of months ago. I really like how it came -

This background die from Spellbinders is just stunning. I layered it on top of glitter paper then a silver foil paper, two more times, and my quote I typed and printed up then cut with my nestability dies and edged with perfect pearls. The little butterflies were cut with the cricut.

Thanks for visiting friends! Get crafty and create,

A Box Card And More

Hey everyone! It's been a while :) Sometimes life just ties you up, and while I've been creating I haven't had the extra time to get my projects loaded up and then blogged about.

These are some cards and a gift bag I've made for my mom and two teachers. Take a look -

Mother's Day Card -

This card was made with printables that I got off of Pinterest. Such lovely pieces from the seed packets to the roses that I fussy cut and stickled. The quote I printed up then cut with my nestabilties die.

Botanical Garden Gift Bag -

I also included some scraps from A Ladies Diary line of Graphic 45's (clock and flowers) also, another Pinterest printable in the butterfly.

Teacher's Appreciation Card  -

This was made with Graphic 45's An ABC Primer collection. I just adore this line! Santino's teacher sent a note home asking if it was G45 and if I made it!

Now this one is a great one! I found a tut on Pinterest for box cards, just click *HERE* so you can make it too, and took it from there -

Another ABC Primer project. I used my Heartfelt Creations stamp and die set in Sun Kissed Fleur, a Big Shot flourish sizzlet that I've had for a million years, my Brenda Walton Medallion die for my pleated medallions. Some fussy cutting and chippies from the ABC Primer set to finish it off. I love how it came, not hard at all, super fun to make and embellish! What's really great is it folds flat for giving. This is going to a very special teacher who is retiring, both Sophia and Santino had her and I volunteered in both of their kinder class for her. A gem and we're sad she's going. I'm also making her a flip album, which I'll share when done.

Thanks for visiting!

Be Mine

Hi friends! Oooo, Friday the 13th! Lol, I've never been one to get up in arms and superstitious about that stuff :)  I'ts Valentine's weekend, I love when it falls on Friday or Saturday.  Got any fun plans with a loved one?  I'm making my family's favorite, bracioltinis and fettuccine alfredo with yummy chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert :D

Over at Swirlydoos this month the card round robin is a great one! Click their name to check this challenge out.  I'm in the Anything Goes card group, I was up at bat first and this is my fun Valentine card.

I used Authentique's Lovely line from a couple of years ago.  I love this line.  My cricut carts for the corner pieces and the hearts.  I just layered them on top of one another and pop dotted them for dimension.  Inking along the edges for more definition.  I sprayed some Lindy's and did some stickling and added flat back pearls.  What do you think? Cards aren't my go to design fave, but I do like making them when I sit and give it a go!

Thanks for stopping by, have a Happy Valentine's Day and weekend!

Thanksgiving Day Cards

Hi folks!  Hope this Sunday evening finds you well :) Today I'm bringing a quick post of my Thanksgiving Day cards.  Cards really aren't my forte, I don't make that many of them.  I make this holiday and Easter for my mom and two aunts.  Then throughout the year, I will usually make birthday cards for various family members, but not all the time.

These were made with a combo of scraps from Bo Buuny and DCWV's autumn lines. I cut the leaves with my cricut and an EK Success maple leaf punch,  I then smeared some distress stain and ink on my craft resist mat, sprayed water as well and then dragged the leaves through for such a gorgeous effect.  When dry and glued to the card, I then stickled with my gold.  Gotta have that bling :)  Love the silky ribbon in both sage and burnt orange.  So pretty, then some rhinestones and pearls for finishing up.

Take a look -

I found quotes online that I liked and printed them up, then cut them with my nestabilities die, I stacked them with the larger die,  You can see on two I had the saying going horizontal with the die and the larger die cut under going vertical, and on one vice versa.  I really love how then came.  My mom got her's and she loves it too, but she's pretty biased ;) Cards really are a fantastic way to get rid of those scraps.

Working on some mini's I'm giving as gifts this year so I've been pretty busy, and Thanksgiving is at my home.  Lots of yummy food and pies, oh PIES!!!   Coconut cream, and salted caramel chocolate tart are the two new ones on the menu this year. Of course we never leave out the good ole stand by's, pumpkin, apple, pecan and salted caramel apple.  I just like to make at least one new pie each year.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if you're in the states friends.
