A Box Card And More

Hey everyone! It's been a while :) Sometimes life just ties you up, and while I've been creating I haven't had the extra time to get my projects loaded up and then blogged about.

These are some cards and a gift bag I've made for my mom and two teachers. Take a look -

Mother's Day Card -

This card was made with printables that I got off of Pinterest. Such lovely pieces from the seed packets to the roses that I fussy cut and stickled. The quote I printed up then cut with my nestabilties die.

Botanical Garden Gift Bag -

I also included some scraps from A Ladies Diary line of Graphic 45's (clock and flowers) also, another Pinterest printable in the butterfly.

Teacher's Appreciation Card  -

This was made with Graphic 45's An ABC Primer collection. I just adore this line! Santino's teacher sent a note home asking if it was G45 and if I made it!

Now this one is a great one! I found a tut on Pinterest for box cards, just click *HERE* so you can make it too, and took it from there -

Another ABC Primer project. I used my Heartfelt Creations stamp and die set in Sun Kissed Fleur, a Big Shot flourish sizzlet that I've had for a million years, my Brenda Walton Medallion die for my pleated medallions. Some fussy cutting and chippies from the ABC Primer set to finish it off. I love how it came, not hard at all, super fun to make and embellish! What's really great is it folds flat for giving. This is going to a very special teacher who is retiring, both Sophia and Santino had her and I volunteered in both of their kinder class for her. A gem and we're sad she's going. I'm also making her a flip album, which I'll share when done.

Thanks for visiting!

Sweet

Hello again! I'm back with a layout I did for Swirlydoos kit club All That Flutters challenge :) It's hosted by Angelica Franssen who is one the dt members. Check out her blog *HERE* and you can find the challenge on Swirlydoos *HERE* The March kit was filled with gorgeous FabScraps papers and I just loved creating with them.  I fussy cut the lacy part of one paper and put it onto the other, then covered it with clear gesso and did some grey painting in the background as well as stamping. The title is from Dusty Attic chipboard and I just embossed it with black embossing powder. The pic is of my daughters Desirae and Sophia from my father-in-law's 75th birthday last March. The light filtering just made it gorgeous.

Here's some pics -

Since it's an All That Flutters challenge, butterflies of some sort must be present.  I cut these with my cricut then dipped them in melted Utee to give a glass effect. I also fussy cut the roses from the paper in the top right corner of the pic and tucked it in along with stash flowers and Petaloo grey mesh that came in the kit. I did a corset type up in the left corner with string and also carried the string down in my mat layers. The leaf chippie is also Dusty Attic, and that got gesso'd white then painted with my silks and misted with some Lindy's.

A gorgeous kit for sure! Hope you liked it, have a great weekend,

Spoolies!

Well hello there friends and a Happy Palm Sunday to those who celebrate it! I know some of you are experiencing old man winter but here in sunny so cal it's summer-like!Today I bring you a cute little project called Spoolies. Huh? What in the world is a Spoolie? Well, let me tell you. They are the things that hold your thread or ribbon, better known as a spool :) If you've noticed a lot of craft stores sell these little wooden diddies for altering. I discovered this awesome papercrafter channel called Paperkitz run by Kit Bauer and she has these adorable ones made from paper. I did this for the Swirlygirl March Challenge for an off the page project. You can check the challenge out *HERE*

These are really easy, you can make them from your scraps and have cute little home-decor pieces for each season. I used Blue Fern Studios Ombre Dreams line for mine, cut the butterfly with my cricut and the flowers are I Am Roses and Mike's Recollections from my stash -

They make a very cute addition to my Easter Table. Very spring and cheery!  Here is Kit's tut pay her channel a visit you won't be disappointed -
