Box Card Fun Featuring Graphic 45

Hey there friends, I have a box card or card in a box that I made and a video to go along with it. I've made this before for a loved teacher who retired this past June. These are just so cute and fun to make. They make such an impact and fold nice and flat for mailing. I used Graphic 45's Botanical Tea and A Ladies Diary Line. Here are some pics and the video.

I'm still perfecting the video making and editing but I hope you like it.

This is a pretty line. The flowers were made with Tim Holtz big shot die and the leaves are from Spellbinders greenery die. For the full tutorial stop by Carolyn's Creative Corner. Her directions are perfect! Do give it a go, you won't be disappointed :)

Tag Fun With Our July Tag of Savagery!

Friday is here friends! I have my tag that I made for Swirlydoos Twelve Tags Of Savagery! This challenge is lots of fun. I love tag making since they're small but pack a lot of punch! Click *HERE* to check it out. If you're looking for a kit club, check out Swirlydoos. What a great kit club Krissy puts together!

My tag -

I used texture paste and a Prima doily stencil, my gelatos to color it, a cute little die cut from Spellbinders to frame my Tim Holtz stamp. The small flowers are from my stash, the leaves from my Spellbinders die, and the gorgeous butterfly chippie is from Creative Embellishments. I treated it with Silks and Ingvilde Bolme chalk inks. The rest is from the fab kit Boy's Night Out.

I hope you like it, give Swirlydoos a visit! Thanks for coming by,

Moments...Swirlydoos Challenge

Happy Sunday all! Can someone tell me if they figured out how to stop time yet? Summer is going way to quick, we've reached the half-way mark in my neck of the woods. Kids go back in 4 weeks, yuk. Any way, a layout I've done with a fantastic kit from Swirlydoos. Have you checked them out yet? Give it a shot. They are just gorgeous kits and Krissy packs them to the brim! Click *HERE* to find out about them.

This month's All That Flutters challenge featuring Boys Night Out, June's kit was a fun one. I really don't do the masculine layouts much, but this kit really leads you easily in that direction. The pic is my not so baby boy Santino when he was in the first grade and we went on a field trip to Riley's Farm in Oak Glen. The kids have a blast and I got great pics -

This months kit featured papers from both Kaisercraft and Bo Bunny. I used Kaisercraft's Antique Bazaar for the base mat and the pretty die cut round piece for the layout itself. I could have just used the round piece alone, but I wanted to ground it so I chose this beautiful paper. I cut a circle from the part you don't see, waste no paper friends and then cut smaller circles to mat my pics on. The little wooden butterfly and magnifying glass are from Prima's Wood Icons Archivist collection as are the little brads clustered about. This is all in the kit. Now from my stash came Lindy's mist which is slight under the pics as well as background stamping from Creative Embellishments background grid stamp and my butterfly trellis stamp from Kaisercraft. Viney swirled chippie from Creative Embellishments that I embossed with Lindy's embossing powder and leaves die cut with my Spellbinder die. The butterflies are from my printable stash that I fussy cut. The Moments stamp is from Little Yellow Bicycle words collection.

I sure hope you liked, give a peek to Swirlydoos, you won't be disappointed, I promise!

A Layout and Some Spoolie Fun!

Hey friends! For those that celebrate the fourth, hope you had a great one! We sure did :) I'm here with a layout for another Swirlydoos round robin challenge for those in uniform. Check out the deets *HERE* This was made using June's Boys Night Out in honor of Father's Day. Gorgeous Bo Bunny Heritage and Generation Papers. I also added word tags and grunge chippie both the hinges and letters for the title from Tim Holtz that have been in my stash for eons. After these pics I'll share some fun home decor -

This is my handsome hubby from his days as a police officer. It is a job he misses very much. He got hurt chasing a "customer" and blew his knee out. The results were 14 knee surgeries with the last two being total replacements on both. He has kept himself in phenomenal shape and doesn't really look that much different today. In the pic with him is his partner (right) and favorite Sargent.

Next up are spoolies! I love these little suckers! I am so glad I found Kit Bauer's Youtube of these cuties. I know for each season and holiday, I will have them all over the house, and they are a GREAT way to use up scraps. Check out her tut *HERE* I made some fun Fourth of July spoolies using Graphic 45's A Place In Time line -

These things are just stinking adorable! So easy and make such an impact :) Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
